A Breath of Fresh Air

Lidor WyssockyDaily Creative Challenge

We are launching today a daily section in our blog to celebrate the major change we’ve just announced. As of today, the entire seempli platform is open for personal use. No need to sign up or commit to anything, except for your desire to ignite your creativity.

This is an excellent chance for us to highlight one challenge a day, discuss it a bit, give you some ideas to boost your creativity and provide you with the opportunity to spice your day with loads of creative fun. You can use the daily challenge as a creativity workout, a creative-block smasher, or just as a break from your frantic day.

So, here we go with the first entry in our Daily Creative Challenge blog.

Today we are playing with the Exploration Prism and the Breath of Fresh Air Seed.

The idea is very simple: memorize the Seed and have it on your mind throughout the day. At the same time, don’t try to make sense of it or think of where it could lead you. Now, wherever you go throughout the day, look around you mindfully and try to find things inspired by the Seed. Anything you find will do. The association can be strong or accidental. It doesn’t matter. The goal of this exercise is to develop our creative observation skill and spice it with imagination.

When you come across such an Insight, capture it either in a photo or in writing (or a recording, or in a video… whatever feels right for you). You can share it with your friends, colleagues, and family. And you can save it in an Insight Journal using your favorite note-taking app.

And don’t settle for one Insight. Continue looking for more Insights for the rest of the day. You don’t have to change anything in your schedule. Just be mindful of the world around you. Each iteration might be a bit more challenging, but also more rewarding.

As I am writing this the curtain near my desk catches my attention. It is moving as if in a slow-motion video, becoming alive thanks to the gentle wind. It may sound like a trivial Insight. It has been there for years. But today I notice it and experience it as a creative and mindful moment. And that’s just the first Insight today.

Intrigued? What are you waiting for? Remember the Seed, look around you and explore the world. You’d be amazed by what you find!

Be creative!
