Daily Creativity #0019

Lidor WyssockyDaily Creativity

Every day we play with a creative challenge. What we create doesn’t have to be grand. It doesn’t have to be perfect. We aim to stretch our creative muscles, be playful, and have fun!

Every day we take a little journey with some unexpected turns. That’s the beauty of creativity. If you just let it, it will fill you with wonder.

The Challenge

Our creative challenge today is made of the following set. If you are familiar with the creomondi building blocks, use the set to explore, imagine, and create. Alternatively, read how we played with it for inspiration first.

Let’s Start with Experiencing Something

Now, Let’s Create…

Let’s Play

Today, we are going to experience. Our experiences provide infinite ingredients for Creativity. And so, we will start with an experience, and use what we see, sense, and feel as inspiration for our creation.

The Experience we will use today is saying “good morning” to someone you don’t know. As you will see in a minute, you can take this straight forward (although not necessarily easy) experience in different directions. But even more important is to notice how it makes you (and the other participant in this engagement) feel.

If you are not new to Daily Creativity, you might already notice that I tend to associate the experience-based games with writing children’s stories or poems. And so, I took myself the liberty to follow this path also today.

I said Good Morning
to a stray cat on the street.
I didn’t plan to,
but it felt good as I did.
The cat froze and seemed puzzled for a while,
but as he went on with his day
I imagined he smiled.

Later that morning,
an old man, alone at the park.
Every day on the bench,
watching the world from his ark.
A cat walks by and says something only the man understands.
With a spark in his eyes
The man takes the cat in his hands.

Now, It Is Your Turn…

Don’t follow my steps! Take the set of cards and play with them. Use them as a guide and not as a set of rules. Let your imagination lead the way. Don’t dismiss your ideas.

Have fun! Be creative!
