Can you see something which isn’t there?

The process of observing the world is amazing. It starts optically with light reflected by objects captured in our eyes. But that’s just the beginning. It is our mind that does all the real work from that point onward: interpreting the signals, associating it with familiar memories and experiences, and sometimes even complementing the picture with things which aren’t really there. It’s magical. It’s mysterious. And, it’s always fascinating.

Hello World!

It was 2004 and I was just starting my way as a photographer. Until that time, when I thought about photography, I thought about finding beautiful places to capture. I drove for hours just to find a breathtaking view. In one of these trips, I found myself in a vineyard. The sun was just about to set, and I wanted to capture its amazing color shining through the branches and leaves of the vines. I took some photographs, went home, and somehow forgot all about it.
